The Neurobiology of Trauma: Practical Approaches to Working with Sexual Assault Victims
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of:
1. Trauma and the neurobiological response to traumatic events, such as sexual abuse and domestic violence.
2. How trauma impacts a survivor’s ability to respond to and recall information about the traumatic event.
3. An overview and working understanding of the “Somatic Experiencing” intervention model with “hands-on” practical counseling techniques.
